Question by trixie: I am just very curious if wearing gold jewelry should not be mixed with silver ones?
What if my wedding ring (which I have to wear everyday) is gold in color, is it prohibited to wear a silver watch? as most watches now a days are silver in color. and if ever my watch is colored silver, can’t I wear a gold bracelet & gold earrings? thanks.

In a New Series, Andrew Berry, a professional jeweller for over 20 years, demonstrates the basic principles of Jewellery Repair and Jewellery Manufacture. This is the third part of the Techniques Explained Series which shows the principles of silver soldering.

… since the topmost one is quite unfinished. The blue one is ceramic beads that came from Michael’s. The coppery glass beads came from the store named on the ruler, which is also where I took the class I made all these in. (And I also bought the watch-face that’s on the unfinished one there. The other two came from Fire Mountain, I think.)

is this ok to use on silver plated stuff, and how many times can you use it before you start to ruin the silver?

well there was anyways the 4 little hook thingys or support things that hold the diamond in broke off, well 2 of them did which also made the diamond fall out
and we cant find the diamond ,, so im wondering if i took it to a repair shop could they fit a new diamond in it and be able to weld 2 support things back on to hold the diamond back in place? can this be done ??

Thank you for this wonderful video. You’ve taken the fear out of the task and I feel more secure about practicing. Do you have a video with a starter’s guide or something with basic tools and equipment for beginners?
